O what a weekend! We finally got moved into our own place. I can hardly even express how wonderful it feels to just have our own space to move around and be us:) Moving is never a whole lot of fun but when you have great friends to help and make you laugh in the process it is so much better. Aaron has been really excited to have his toys back. He has asked us every day, “so is this my new house?” On Saturday as we were working hard and unpacking what seemed like thousands of boxes, my little boy ran inside and with a huge smile and very proud face handed me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers….a bouquest of dandelions!

So, we have been here in Pensacola going on two months and the exciting part about being in a new place is just that, it’s NEW! Every where we go, park, restaurant, road, grocery store, gas station it is all new. So like anything, I know the “new” will eventually wear off but for now I am really enjoying it. It’s exciting to do “new” fun things, see new places, and meet new people.

The other cool part is since I started a new job, and now get a lunch break (I almost forgot what that was after being home with babies for 2.5 years) I get to go exploring for an hour every day. Here are some of favorite places so far…..

The Bay, this is less than a block from my work! A great place to walk, sit, think and pray!

Lately I have been thinking about some of the things I miss in Tulsa.  Some might say, “what could you possibly miss in Oklahoma?” but for me, and yes I know I am sentimental, there are quite a few things I miss about the old stomping grounds. Let me just start with, I met my wonderful husband at ORU, we bought our first home in BA, it was my babies first home and nursery, some of the best people I have ever met from college thru now are right there…in Tulsa, OK.

So in no particular order, here are my top 10 most missed in OK

10. Taco Bueno (I know, seems lame but it’s true)

 9. Riverside Park (well, all the parks Tulsa has to offer)

 8. ORU (walking around the prayer gardens, letting my children play and reminiscing about good times)

 7. Sense of familiarity, going places and knowing people all around town

 6. Saturday night church @ Destiny

 5. My “first home”

 4. Custard King (Arnie’s favorite place to go on a Sunday afternoon, therefore, my favorite place to be on a Sunday afternoon:)

 3. The People (from college professors, pastors, counselors, friends..truly some of the most wonderful people I have ever known)

2. QuikTrip (I can’t believe they haven’t taken over the world yet!)

1. MY MOM & DAD and brother!

I love my little girl! Like most parents I think she is the most wonderful little being ever created (along with her brother of course)! This picture will forever bring a smile to my face. Since the day she realized her daddy drinks hot coffee, and you have to blow on anything hot, she has made it her job to sit in his lap and cool down his “ot , ot” juice:)

Morning Routine

So this week has been crazy! I started a new job monday, Arnie got a call about a family emergency and had to leave town though he did take HG with him so I would only have to find childcare for A. At my new job my car battery went dead 2x because I left the lights on:) All that said, everything has still worked itself out. The Hills stepped up to the plate and took on my very active 2 1/2 year old. I give them huge props they gave A a run for his money! Chuckie Cheese, Chik Fil A, basketball, a picnic in the park, Bailey the dog, and Diego all I can say is he has had one very fun , wear him out kinda week. Thanks guys!

Today is Friday which means I haven’t seen Arnie and HG for almost 4 days and I can’t wait to get home tonight and hug em”. I know we will have a blast going out on a family date. A has asked all week “where My Hannah?” Of course I adore those three little words! Which leads me to the most beautiful piece of the whole week…having one on one time with my little boy. I love his personality, how he dances when Tony sings the theme song to Sid the Science Kid, how I can never read enough Bible stories or tell enough motorcycle stories before bed, and how he say “tanks mom” for things I do just because I’m mom. Last night when I told A it was time to get out of the bath he looked at me, held up his hand and said, ” just 1 more hour mommy.” Hour..minute it’s all the same to a 2 yr old:) So these are just a few of the life is beautiful moments that capture my heart and makes all the chaos of life fade.
